Tell ya a story, about 30 years ago.
I was reading the bio of one of the famous SOF types of that day.
Fella had been and done: Russia to the Congo to Indochina.
Any way, there was a line..where he said.".All true soldiers are idealists, if you stop and think about it and it is that idealism which allows pols of any nation to screw them..the thing is ..even if they know that in their heads..their hearts still want to cling to the noble ideal and the better the soldier the deeper the faith.

The hardest thing for such a person is to see the world as it is.
To wake from that wonderfull dream...and to stay awake.
I KNOW..
Now..I have two rules: Always get paid in full and up front and always plan your own escape route."

I remember thinking..boy, is he screwed up.

Now I am starting to think that he was a lot smarter.. wiser than I could understand back then.

If the RULES say that people can cross party lines to vote and Ron Paul, playing by the established rules wins..how is that "hi-jacking"?

Now if Romy won..it would be spun as "Proof of Mit's ability as a "Vote getter" a man able to reach across party lines...a uniter...etc..
BUT if the wrong guy wins...the same result is "a danger to the electoral progress" support that may return to Obama..

Wake up ..I know that it is hard...I hated Ron Paul as I saw him as anti war...but sometimes you have to face the light.

P.S. I don't hate Mr. Obama. I think that he is trying to do his best for America as he sees it.
In fact, I would prefer Mr. Obama to a two faced RINO. Having said that, I oppose his policies and his view of the future and the role of America in the world is NOT mine. I don't agree with his policies and will be pleased to see him retire to the lecture circuit in 2012.

Fellas.

Ron Paul is sounding better to me each time I hear him.
By his answers, it is clear that he knows and respects the Constitution.
For example: When questions were raised on Obamacare,the other candidates swore that they, if elected, would "repeal" it.
The President CANNOT repeal a law and only Ron Paul seemed to know this.
As to Iran, every one. except Ron Paul seemed happy and eager to start an other war...with out a declaration of war.

Now, I admit, I like war. I came by that honestly. I grew up watching John Wayne and joined the Marines as soon as I was old enough. That was against family advice as they wanted me to go to collage first, but I feared that the war might be over if I delayed.

I opposed the USSR and you fellas know how I feel about 9/11.

As to Iran and WMDs, face it, that is nothing but gun control writ large and for the same reasons.

The only way that the elite are going to feel safe is if we conquer and control and disarm the world but they don't have the stomach for it.

If we are not going to declare war and use all of our power at what ever hazard to win victory, if the game is not worth the candle, stay home.

We left Iraq after 9 years of war and they burned our flag and gave us the finger. We defend Europe in NATO from a USSR that has been gone for 20 years, while most of Europe had a better standard of living than we did as they did not have to support their own defense. Now we are bailing out the banks of Europe and borrowing from red China to do it...I sometimes think that the whole political world is having a bad LSD trip..bummer man.

I don't think Ron Paul is perfect, I would put tariffs in place, which he won't but I do say that he is by far the best of the lot.

Last I heard, we are not at war with Iran..if we are, I seem to have read that Congress has to declare it? As to commando raid..Why? Any tech info is already in China and in any case I was always told the the key for a good raid was surprise..that is going to be hard to get. If a squad of SEALs or Recon types are sent in and captured..what than?
As to a bombing attack...to destroy it...well it is a long flight to Peking.
